Power Inlet Modules

What is a Power Inlet Module?

A power inlet module is a device that combines multiple functions into a single unit to control power entry. They can provide circuit protection in two main paths: fuses or circuit breakers. Both lower the chances of harming the equipment or causing the end user physical injury. The inlet is the conduit for providing power with a detachable cord set. The most common means of connecting cable to equipment is via the IEC 60320 (C14, C13, etc.). The inlet contains blades for receiving a cord.

What Do We Supply?

We supply a broad range of power inlet modules, including:
Power inlet modules

Why Choose E. Preston?

We have been operating for over 42 years as a distributor and wholesaler of electric and electronic components since our inception in 1980. We have grown considerably since those early days, a growth that we believe is attributable to our high standards of customer service which have always been part of the experience of dealing with E Preston.

We have a slightly old-fashioned approach to customer service which entails doing simple things such as ringing a customer back when you said you were going to ring them back, and following through on any promises.

Our service also entails providing you, the customer, with providing expert advice and assistance on the products we sell and their uses and applications.

We stock and distribute power inlet modules from industry-known brand names such as Arcolectric, Bulgin, Schaffner and Schurter. Our range of modules is second to none. Where required, we will do our upmost to ensure that you receive your order for next day delivery.

Our premises are in Dukinfield, Cheshire but we send orders to the whole of the UK and beyond.

Do you need more flexible payment terms? Talk to us, and we can potentially provide that too.
for technical help on power inlet modules. We are more than happy to help!

Eaton Moeller Series - SPPVT2/T12 xPole Surge Protection

Image
SPPVT Pic

The plug-in surge arresters SPPVT2 and SPPVT12 are developed especially for photovoltaic applications. They protect the installations against transient overvoltages that can be induced by direct or indirect lightning strikes.

SPPVT12: Homes with rooftop solar PV installations represent an additional vulnerability that requires surge protection. Usually this requires Type 1/2 combinations, for DC protection - based on whether the building has also a requirement for an external lightning protection system. SPPVT12 is developed especially for photovoltaic applications and protects the installations against transient overvoltages induced by direct lightning strikes.

SPPVT2: Type 2 PV surge protection is required, when there is no risk for direct lightning strikes but indirect surges can occur. SPPVT2 protects the inverter and installations against transient overvoltage due to switching and indirect lightning strikes.

These surge arresters are suitable for a wide range of surge protection in a large number of systems.

Image

Timer relays are especially suitable for the use in passenger cars, trucks, buses as well as construction machinery and emergency vehicles. They control pumps, valves or motors, which are meant to overtravel or stay open for a defined period of time. They equally control the co-ordinated, sequential switch-on of loads to avoid load peaks (e.g. with fans).

E-T-A timer relays are available for DC 12 V and DC 24 V applications and are suitable for standard automotive relay sockets to ISO 7588.
