Over 40 years of Excellence

E Preston has been a specialist distributor of electrical and electronic components since 1980, offering thousands of products to meet a wide variety of needs and applications.

But we do more than simply sell components – we have built a reputation as a company who does business the traditional and honest way. Paying attention to the simple things – like phoning people back when we say we will – has kept our customers coming back for over four decades.

Our staff are experts in their fields, we maintain appropriate stock levels, and all of our processes are fully computerised to ensure a smooth operation.

We also understand that business is carried out between people, not companies. We do the hard work to maintain relationships with our suppliers as well as our customers. That way everybody in every part of the supply chain is satisfied – from the manufacturer to the end customer.

Low-Current Chip Fuse for ATEX and Precision Applications

  • Chip fuse of dimension 0603
  • Extended creepage distance of 1.1 mm (Pad-to-Pad)
    according to IEC 60079-11
  • Ideally suited for ATEX and other precision applications
    to protect against smallest overcurrents

In modern electronic applications - especially in safety-critical areas such as ATEX certified environments - the requirements for miniaturization, precision and thermal resistance are constantly increasing. The new USL 0603 low-current fuse has been specifically developed to meet these requirements.

An outstanding feature of the USL 0603 is the extended creepage distance of 1.1 mm (pad-to pad). This means that it meets the requirements of IEC 60079-11 for 60 VDC applications in which a minimum creepage distance of 1 mm is required. This makes it one of the few fuses in the 0603 format that can be used without hesitation in ATEX applications - for example in the oil and gas industry, chemical processing or mining.

Quick Acting Characteristic
Thanks to its fast tripping time (tripping at 2.5 times the rated current in under 5 seconds), the USL 0603 offers precise protection for sensitive circuits. At the same time, its low voltage drop ensures minimal energy losses - an advantage that pays off not only in ATEX applications, but also in battery-operated designs.

Wide Operating Range
With an extended operating temperature range of up to 150 °C, the fuse is ideally suited for demanding thermal environments - from mobile medical diagnostic devices to industrial sensor applications.

Typical Applications
Ideal areas of application for the USL 0603 are ATEX-certified systems in which potential ignition sources must be avoided through reliable current limitation. The chip fuse is also highly suitable for medical devices, where precise tripping times and low power loss are crucial. There are also sensor applications in industry and consumer electronics, which are particularly sensitive to overcurrent.

Honeywell NGC Series MICRO SWITCH Compact Limit Switches

Image

Honeywell MICRO SWITCH Compact Limit Switches, NGC Series, are a configurable platform of medium duty switches that allow the customer to choose SPDT (single pole, double throw) or DPDT (double pole, double throw) circuitry while maintaining the same housing and mounting footprint throughout the NGC Series.

Honeywell ngc series

MICRO SWITCH NGC Series can be configured more than 380,000 ways, carries global approvals, and are sealed to IP67 for potential use in indoor and outdoor
applications.

With two times the vibration (10 g) and shock (50 g) ratings of comparable competitive devices, the NGC Series can be implemented in the harshest of environmental conditions, providing enhanced reliability and repeatability.

Broader current capacity (10 A) than comparable devices allows for potential use in a wider set of applications, making platform standardization an easier task.

Features:
• SPDT or DPDT configurable circuitry
• Snap-action, positive-break contacts
• Silver alloy and gold-plated contact options
• UL, CE, UKCA, cUL, and CCC approvals
• Conforms to IEC 60947-5-1, IEC 61373, EN 45545-2
• NEMA 1, 4, 12, 13; IP67 sealing
• Metal and plastic housing options
• Low and high temperature variants
• Cable and connector terminations
• Variety of heads and actuator levers

Applications:
• Boom position detection
• Elevators and escalators
• Machine tools
• Mobile light towers
• Packaging equipment
• Rail doors
• Scissor lifts

Value To Customers

  • Cost-Effective:
Provides a single source for a compact SPDT and DPDT limit switch, which can help minimize the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s sourcing expenses by
    simplifying their supply chain
  • Versatile:
Durable packaging allows for use in many harsh indoor or outdoor applications, providing performance confidence
  • Configurable:
Allows design engineers to standardize on a single footprint while meeting a variety of electrical requirements
  • Application Support:
Customers with a global footprint can count on Honeywell for regional support for new applications and troubleshooting
