Honeywell is pleased to announce an upgrade to the Micro Switch SZL-VL Series Limit Switch effective May 2017.
The new product features include the addition of positive opening contacts (side rotary version only), enhanced sealing level to IP67; NEMA 1, 12, 13, extended the temperature range, and added CCC certification.
The upgraded design includes modified seals, housing and a new design cable gland to improve seal performance. The housing design and mounting hole pattern remain the same. Any dimensional changes do not exceed more than 1mm.
These product enhancements will allow the potential for use in wide variety of applications as well as bring more value to our customers.
The upgrades to the SZL-VL Series require that we introduce new part numbers and obsolete the existing SZL-VL part numbers.

Honeywell Micro Switch SZL-VL-S Series Miniature Limit Switches have user-friendly interfaces and may be used in a broad range of applications to help meet the challenges of many industrial environments. With robust environmental ratings, the SZL-VL-S is protected for all kinds of industrial applications. Honeywell announces the release of the new Limitless™ Wireless Operator Interface, WOI Series, which expands Honeywell’s Limitless™ wireless switch and receiver portfolio by providing a packaged pushbutton controller for manufacturers and OEMs. The WOI Series adds a human interface device to the product-driven interfaces of the Limitless™ portfolio. With both momentary and maintained contact options, the Limitless™ Series now offers wireless control from both person and position.
Honeywell’s Wireless Operator Interface is a controller designed to wirelessly turn on and off equipment (pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, and other industrial equipment), open or close gates/doors, or provide notification to remote locations. The WOI Series can be used in rugged industrial environments to notify appropriate departments when there are quality, machine, material out-of-stock, or other manufacturing issues.

The Limitless™ wireless network is an easy and cost-effective solution for those looking for a reliable wireless solution. It includes the WDRR Din-rail receiver, WPMM monitor, WLS heavy-duty limit switch, and WGLA global limit switch. The entire Limitless™ solution utilizes the global, license-free RF wireless 802.15.4 WPAN protocol that provides up to a 305 m [1000 ft] line-of-sight communication range, and prolongs battery life with advanced power management technology.

The Best Switches Come In Small Packages
Leading designer and manufacturer of switches, sensors and controls, ZF Electronics, has launched a new series of sub subminiature switches which suit applications as diverse as automotive door latches, industrial locking systems, outdoor equipment and hand-held control units. Demands on electronic components for increased reliability and functionality increase year on year, together with the need to achieve higher specifications within ever-shrinking housing sizes. The new DK sub subminiature series from ZF Electronics provides the smallest dimensions and highest performance for a snap switch in its class.
DK switches are less than 15mm in length and are sealed to IP6K5 (IP6K7 on request) for use in wet or dusty environments. With temperature ratings of up to 105degC, they are extremely reliable, with a long mechanical life of over 500,000 actuations. Additional actuators are available in a choice of either simulated roller or plain stainless steel and can be operated vertically or via customised actuators. DK switches offer long over-travel features (1.3mm minimum) and have a variety of connection possibilities with solder, PCB terminals or pre-wired options all available.
Standard DK sub subminiature switches are designed for use on low-voltage DC circuits - nominal current rating is 5mA up to 2A. Non-standard versions are also available for circuits up to 60VDC, for example for use in battery-powered equipment. Very low voltage applications are also possible, such as the switching of thermo-couples. Contact configuration is single pole, dual throw (SPDT) with the benefit of AuAg crosspoint contacts for high contact stability. DK series switches can also be ganged for multiple use.
