Schurter’s 6610 appliance outlet, which is the first of its kind to utilize IDC technology, is now available with IDC terminals for 14 AWG/1.5 mm2 in addition to the existing version for 12 AWG/2.5 mm2. The new option allows for smaller diameter wire and thus less costly wiring in lighter duty applications.
Series 6610 is ideal for use in power distribution units and other equipment where multiple outlets are banked in series. Unlike traditional outlets, which require wiring of individual quick connect or solder terminals, the 6610 with IDC technology allows wires to be bussed across the terminals, thereby connecting common terminals all at once. The IDC terminals are arranged either along or across the connector pin axis, allowing for a horizontal or vertical mounting orientation. Wires are pressed into place with the protective back cover. Versions with combination IDC and a quick-connect or solder terminal, for separate wiring of the line connection, are also available.
The 6610 outlet is newly offered with the V-Lock notch intended for use with a mating cordset that latches into the outlet to prevent unintentional disconnection from the power. The outlet is F style according to IEC 60320. The snap-in unit fits panels which have a thickness of between 0.8 mm and 3 mm. It is approved by cURus at 15 A at 250 VAC and ENEC at 10 A/250 VAC, and is qualified for applications in accordance with IEC/EN 60950.

Given the high levels of integration in electronic systems, the demand for electrical components for use in higher temperature environments is continually increasing. This is where the new C22F appliance inlet and filter fills a gap. The first product of its type on the market performs exceptionally well in applications with higher ambient temperatures.
The new C22F filter series combines an IEC C22 high temperature appliance connector with a high quality power-line filter. The combined inlet and filter are especially suited for use in applications with nominal currents up to 16A at 75°C ambient and 20A at 65°C ambient. The unique design provides higher temperature ratings over comparable filtered inlets, while maintaining a similar compact size.
The combination power entry module integrates the EMC filter directly at the line input, providing an optimal effect on electromagnetic compatibility. The broad metal flange features a large amount of contact area, which further optimizes filtering and shielding effects. Wiring is done using quick-connect or solder terminals.
The standard C20F and new C22F series are designed for operating currents up to 16A at 250 VAC according to IEC standards and 20A at 125/250 VAC according to UL standards. They are ENEC and cURus approved. The two series are available in standard and medical versions suitable for applications according to IEC 60950, and medical applications according to IEC 60601-1. Such applications include power distribution units, servers, medical heating appliances and imaging systems.
- For high ambient temperatures
- Nominal current: up to 16A (ENEC/UL/CSA) at 75°C and 20A (UL/CSA) at 65°C ambient temperatures
- Version available with extra large X capacitor of 330 nF
- Filters available in standard and medical versions

Hylec-APL has introduced a new comprehensive range of Steatite ceramic terminal blocks which are ideal for wire termination in demanding high temperature applications.
The Steatite ceramic terminal blocks have several characteristics which make them advantageous over existing porcelain ceramic products. These include higher density, better bending/compression strength, greater elasticity, higher dielectric strength and being non-flammable and temperature resistant with dimensional stability up to 1,000˚C.
* The terminal blocks are suitable for use in applications with continuous temperatures of up to 350˚C.
* Range is available with two or three poles and in a choice of sizes.
* Steatite terminal blocks include screw mounting holes which are M3, M3.5 or M4 in size.
* Steatite, or soapstone, can be easily shaped and its electrical characteristics make it ideal as an insulator or housing for electrical components.
* The range complements Hylec’s existing line of polyamide and polypropylene products.

Finder’s 77 Series “single pole” solid state relays are now available in eight new versions, with a 30A current rating to complement the existing 5A models.
With distinct models for zero-voltage and instantaneous switch-on, the former is particularly suited for lighting control where zero-voltage switching can significantly reduce high inrush currents. Instantaneous switch-on provides near instant switching for high speed operation and simultaneous switching in multi-phase circuits, such as three phase motors.
The very high inrush current capability of 520A (10ms) ensures reliability over a long life in a wide range of applications, particularly the switching of lighting where power factor compensation and electronic ballasts have historically been problematic – but it is also ideal for the control of heating, solenoids and motors.
In 22.5mm housing incorporating the heat sink and designed for 35mm rail mounting, the relays are ideal for use in control panels and cabinets in industrial and commercial applications.
Capable of switching single phase motors up to 2.5kW or lamp loads up to 6000W, and with the benefit of silent, high speed switching, they lend themselves to use in a host of environments. Input voltages of 230Vac and 24Vdc.

Honeywell’s SMART Position Sensors are some of the most durable, adaptable, and lightweight absolute position sensors available in the industry, enabling highly accurate motion control and improving operation efficiency and safety.
Why is the SMART Position Sensor smart? SMART means that this is a sensor that can essentially think for itself. With the SMART position technology, Honeywell has utilized MR (magnetoresistive) technology through the ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) at a level never before accomplished. The rotary configuration joins Honeywell’s SMART Position Sensor family of proven linear and arc configurations.
The SMART Position Sensor, Rotary Configuration, is a non-contacting sensing solution for absolute position sensing with enhanced accuracy. It senses the position of a magnet relative to the sensor in a range of 0º to 360º.
Honeywell uses a patented combination of an ASIC and an array of MR sensors to accurately and reliably determine the position of a magnet collar attached to a rotating object so that the object’s position can be determined or controlled. The output and the MR sensor sequence determine the nearest pair of MR sensors to the center of the magnet location. The output of these two MR sensors is then used to determine the position of the magnet between them.
The SMART Position Sensor, Rotary Configuration, fits on a 25,4 mm [1 in] shaft. A mounting tool fixture (purchased separately) provides repeatable installation.
Value Propositions
* Non-contact design: Eliminates mechanical failure mechanisms, reducing wear, which improves reliability and durability, and minimizes downtime
* Combined patented MR sensor and ASIC technology provides absolute position sensing:
– Helps OEMs reduce warranty costs because they don’t have to replace worn or broken component parts
– Helps end-users reduce downtime due to fewer calibration requirements
* No internal moving parts: Automotive-grade potting makes the sensor more resistant to vibration, shock, and extreme temperatures, improving reliability
* Repeatable output: Occurs within a 3,0 mm ±2,0 mm [0.118 in ±0.079 in] air gap between the sensor and magnet collar, expanding application opportunities
* High accuracy: Measures values down to 0.01º; better accuracy can provide better application system accuracy
* IP67 and IP69K sealing: Allows for use in harsh environments such as dust, immersion up to 1 m [39.37 in] of water for 30 minutes, and high pressure water sprays
* High shock and vibration resistance: Allows for use in a wide variety of tough applications
Features and Benefits
* Minimal signal error: Up to 2,50 mm [0.10 in] of radial error, simplifying design-in
* RoHS-compliant: Materials meet Directive 2002/95/EC
