Schurter's IEC C14 inlet with EMI filter, series 5120 ECO design, meets the increasing demands of IT, medical and industrial appliances. The existing panel mount version is now available with flexible wire leads in addition to quick connect and solder terminals. A PCB mount version is also newly introduced. The new configurations provide easy installation, cost savings and maximum performance in a lightweight and environmentally friendly compact package.
The series combines an IEC C14 or C18 inlet with line filter in various mounting styles. With the addition of the flexible wire and PCB versions SCHURTER has again expanded its range of filtered power entry modules for low and high current applications. The EMI filter is dimensioned as a 1-stage filter for rated currents up to 15 A with a leakage current standard <0.5 mA and medical <5 μA. The positive electrical contact of the broad metal flange to the chassis ensures optimal filtering and shielding.
Mounting options include screw-on, rivet or snap-in mounting. The snap-in mounting style as well as the screw-on version from rear side with its pre-formed threaded holes reduces labor costs. The PCB mount version is available with optional snap feet to safely fasten the unit on the printed circuit board. The flexible wire leads provides pre-assembly for easy and fast installation.

Schurter presents its new standard DC filter series FMER SOL suited for use on the DC side of the inverter in photovoltaic systems and other DC systems.
Modern solar inverters, that use MPP (maximum power point) trackers, generate disturbances into both the grid’s AC power line, as well as the DC side of the solar module. An AC filter is normally used on the grid’s AC power line, but the noise generated on the DC side tends to be overlooked. EMC standards EN 61000-6-3 and EN55014-1, however, also put limits on the noise generated from lines not connected to the grid, such as for example the line to the solar panels. Meeting these limits can be achieved by using a DC filter on the DC side of the inverter.
Large solar inverters installed in electrical installations will generally require a cooling system. Components which provide high temperature resistance simplify the system and reduce the energy needed to cool. The FMER SOL filters are designed for rated currents from 25A to 1500A at 55°C ambient temperature, and voltages up to 1200VDC. The filters are cURus and ENEC approved up to 75°C ambient temperature, with corresponding reduced rated currents.
The FMER SOL DC filters are designed with screw clamps for types up to 150A and copper bars for types upwards of 250A. Other types of connections, such as wires or copper bars <250A, are available on request. Small adjustments can also be made to the electrical circuit or to the filter housing on request.

Technical Data:
- Rated currents: 25A to 1500A at 55°C
- Operating voltage: up to 1200VDC
- Temperature range: -40°C to +100°C

By achieving the seal-tight protection class of IP69K, SCHURTER is extending the spectrum of potential applications for its already tried-and-tested PSE family of piezo switches. The qualification test was carried out using a high-pressure vapor stream at 90 Bar and a temperature of 80°C.
The hermetically sealed piezo switches can now be used in areas, which are regularly disinfected or cleaned using high-pressure cleaners. This renders them ideal for use in applications exposed to high levels of dirt and grime such as food processing, commercial cooking and transportation.
Besides the extraordinarily long lifetime of more than 20 million switching cycles, SCHURTER piezo switches also reveal a high level of robustness due to their stainless steel or aluminum housing.
The following mounting diameters are available as standard: 16, 19, 22, 24, 27 and 30 mm. Other mounting diameters, materials, colors and shapes are possible, according to individual design requirements.
Point or ring illumination is offered in mounting sizes 22 mm and up. This feature can be used to illuminate the actuating surface in a continuous mode or to display the switch position on or off.
Laser lettering is available and done in house to minimize lead times. A broad range of standard legends and symbols are available. Customer-specific inscriptions are also available.
