Single Phase Block Filter with Excellent Performance
• Ultra compact double stage filter
• Excellent symmetrical and asymmetrical attenuation
• Very broad band attenuation
• Completely closed steel housing
Schurter completes its portfolio of ultra-compact single-phase filters with a new generation of particularly high-performance thanks to a double stage filter design. FMBB EP is the name of the latest member in the completely closed steel housing.
Ever more powerful and at the same time ever more compact design – these are the requirements for state-of-the-art electronic devices. The filters of the FMBB EP family are particularly suitable wherever such equipment is confronted with stubbornly high EMI interference signals. Highly clocked semiconductors generate increasingly strong interference frequencies. This massively increases the requirements for compliance with EMC. Typical applications include test and measurement equipment, professional kitchen equipment, medical and critical industrial applications.
Identical Housing Dimensions
The new filters use the same housings as the proven FMBB NEO filter series. These housings are spot welded, thus completely closed, resulting in significantly improved attenuation behavior. Thanks to topquality components (generously dimensioned film capacitors, chokes with highly permeable cores), an exceptionally broad-band attenuation is achieved.
Mounting
The FMBB EP filter series has 6.3 x 0.8 mm plug-in connections or threaded connections for quick and easy wiring. Thanks to a metal flange, excellent ground connection is ensured when screwed to the chassis.
Wide Temperature Range
The standard versions can be used over a temperature range from -40 °C to 100 °C. The filters are designed for currents from 1 A to 36 A at an ambient temperature of 40 °C. They have ENEC and cURus approval and are recommended for applications up to max. 250 VAC.
Leakage Current
There are versions with different leakage currents available for different applications: the standard version with 0.9 mA to 3.8 mA, for medical technology ≤ 5 µA or ≤ 80 µA.

Schurter is launching its new CPS family of push button switches with capacitive touch sensor technology inside. The new switch family caters to the latest technology trend for robust momentary and latching push button switches while sporting an elegant modern look that makes them the perfect choice for use in applications wherever a high quality aesthetic appearance plays a role. In addition to an IK rating 09 and IP rating 67, the series offers a predefined standard range with many visual and functional options to choose from. These features allow the customer to adapt the push button, or the switch in general, to their individual electrical and mechanical requirements.
Metal push button switch with capacitive sensor technology offers latching-action with optical feedback:
The CPS series uses capacitive sensor technology, whereby a touch of the finger on the sensor area causes a change in the electrical field which in turn causes the switch to change its state; this occurs without any pressure on the actuator. The capacitive touch technology eliminates the need for any moving parts, hence making the CPS a long-life product capable of an unlimited number of actuations. The CPS actuator expands further on actuation options with a so-called finger guide, which is designed to enhance the user experience.
The CPS series is made of high-grade stainless steel in 16 mm, 19 mm and 22 mm diameter housings. The variable input supply voltage is 5 – 28 VDC. Switching voltage is max. 42 / 60 VAC / VDC. Switching current is max. 100 mA. Operating temperature range is -20°C - +60°C. A wide range of illumination options, starting with the selection of a ring illuminated or area illuminated version, are offered. The area illuminated version is made of scratch-resistant biocompatible ceramics. A single color, bicolor, or multicolor configuration is possible. Besides the basic colors red, green, and blue, the CPS also offers additive colors like cyan, magenta, yellow, and white for custom color variations.
The CPS can easily be customized to specific customer requirements by simply choosing from a list of options in the configurator list provided in the data sheet, or according to application specific requirements beyond what is shown. The unique switch series is suitable for many different applications in various industry sectors, like industrial automation, food service and processing equipment, lab equipment, door and access control panels, white goods, vending and ticketing machines, just to name a few.

Super Time-Lag SMD ceramic fuse with selective tripping characteristic
• Suitable as a Fail Safe Device
• Very high melting integral
• Precisely defined melting times (min/max)
• Compact construction
With the UMT-W, Schurter launches a pulse-proof SMD ceramic fuse with super time-lag tripping characteristics, which is particularly suitable as a fail-safe device in demanding applications.
The cuboid shaped (5.3 x 16 mm), extremely compact SMD fuse is available in five rated currents from 5 A to 20 A and reaches rated voltages of up to 125 V AC&DC with a breaking capacity of up to 1000 A. All these you get with a super slow and precisely defined melting characteristic unique for SMD fuses.
Applications
The Schurter UMT-W is recommended wherever high inrush currents flow (e.g. motor control systems). The UMT-W is particularly suitable for applications with long cables (e.g. avionics), which are often primarily protected by an electronic fuse. If this monitoring fails, or does not perform its task correctly, the UMT-W takes over as a fail-safe device and transfers the system to a safe, currentless state. Due to the precise melting times with its precisely defined min/max corridor at 4xIn, robust and selective safety concepts can be implemented on top of the electronic fuse.
COTS+ The UMT-W fuse is a "COTS+" product. The "+" comes from extended fuse qualification tests (e.g. AEC-Q200) and highly controlled manufacturing processes, which are available to all SCHURTER customers. For higher reliability requirements, we also offer visual inspection according to MIL-PRF 55342, different types of up-screenings (burn-in) and detailed test reports on request.

• Variants with ground choke
• Highly resistant - fully potted
• Interrupts ground loops
• V-Lock cord retention
Schurter extends its successful power entry module series C20F with versions including a ground line choke, designed for suppressing high-frequency interference on the ground conductor. Additionally, the new variants have a bigger X-capacitor for better symmetrical attenuation.
The C20F filter series combines an IEC C20 appliance inlet with a high-quality mains filter. The particularly wide metal flange makes contact with the housing surface over a large area, thus enabling optimum filtering and shielding.
Ground Choke
New variants of the C20F appliance inlet filters are equipped with a ground choke. The line filters have a second choke on the earth conductor in addition to the current-compensated choke on the pole and neutral conductor. The ground choke is located between the device plug and the filter output. Placing it directly at the mains input ensures that possible high-frequency interference currents on the earth conductor cannot bypass the filter via the housing. Medical filters in particular (no Y-capacitors) benefit from improved asymmetrical attenuation in the higher frequency range due to the ground choke.
Applications
The C20F filter series is available as standard or medical version and is used in devices that require a particularly high noise immunity. These include IT or telecom systems according to IEC 92368-1 and medical devices according to IEC 60601-1. The series is compatible with V-Lock device connection cables.
The C20F series is certified for currents up to 16 A / 250 VAC according to IEC standard and 20 A according to UL/CSA standard at 125/250 VAC. It provides ENEC, CQC and cURus approvals.
