The IEC appliance inlet 4783 from Schurter is the first of its kind: for the first time it combines a reconnectable C13 appliance inlet with the proven V-Lock cord retention system. Available in black, white and grey for better differentiation - e.g. in 3-phase systems.
Ideal for Small Series Builds
Reconnectable appliance sockets are particularly suitable for small series builds. With these inlets you are free to choose the cable length and country-specific plugs.
V-Lock
Schurter already offers a wide range of rewireable IEC device connectors. New and unique to the 4783, is the integrated V-Lock cord retention system, which effectively prevents the cable from being pulled out unintentionally.
Assembly
A cable guard with a diameter of 8.5 mm or 10 mm is pre-assembled at the factory. The screw terminals accept cables with cross-sections between a minimum of 3 x 0.75 mm²/18 AWG (0.82 mm²) and a maximum of 3 x 1.5 mm²/14 AWG (2.08mm²).
Halogen-Free Construction
Schurter's Type 4783 does not use halogens in the cable guard or any other plastic components.
Approvals
The 4783 appliance inlet has all approvals for the European, Chinese and North American markets. It is also already certified according to the new UL 60320 standard.

• Variants with ground choke
• Highly resistant - fully potted
• Interrupts ground loops
• V-Lock cord retention
Schurter extends its successful power entry module series C20F with versions including a ground line choke, designed for suppressing high-frequency interference on the ground conductor. Additionally, the new variants have a bigger X-capacitor for better symmetrical attenuation.
The C20F filter series combines an IEC C20 appliance inlet with a high-quality mains filter. The particularly wide metal flange makes contact with the housing surface over a large area, thus enabling optimum filtering and shielding.
Ground Choke
New variants of the C20F appliance inlet filters are equipped with a ground choke. The line filters have a second choke on the earth conductor in addition to the current-compensated choke on the pole and neutral conductor. The ground choke is located between the device plug and the filter output. Placing it directly at the mains input ensures that possible high-frequency interference currents on the earth conductor cannot bypass the filter via the housing. Medical filters in particular (no Y-capacitors) benefit from improved asymmetrical attenuation in the higher frequency range due to the ground choke.
Applications
The C20F filter series is available as standard or medical version and is used in devices that require a particularly high noise immunity. These include IT or telecom systems according to IEC 92368-1 and medical devices according to IEC 60601-1. The series is compatible with V-Lock device connection cables.
The C20F series is certified for currents up to 16 A / 250 VAC according to IEC standard and 20 A according to UL/CSA standard at 125/250 VAC. It provides ENEC, CQC and cURus approvals.

Convenience Outlets Redesigned
• NR010 – IDC for efficient wiring
• NR020 – The classic with improved temperature rating
• NR021 – Tamper Resistant
Schurter's latest series of appliance outlets NR020 and NR021 combine classic features with new ones to meet increased fire protection and safety standards according to UL 498 Tamper Resistant, as well as facilitating compliance of receptacles used in Household and Commercial Furniture and Furniture Power Distribution Units (FPDUs), according to UL 962 and UL 962A. Higher temperature ratings and added configurations for series NR010 and NR020 respond to power demands facing Datacom infrastructures today.
Tamper Resistant Receptacles - TRR The concept of tamper-resistant receptacles is not a recent development; these devices have been a standard product offering of wiring device manufacturers for many years. The devices are designed to protect individuals (primarily children) from accidental shock resulting from the insertion of foreign objects. The US National Electric Code NEC® Article 406.12 states that all 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-Volt nonlocking-type receptacles installed in dwelling units must be Tamper Resistant. In 2017, changes to the Code expanded on these requirements and locations. Previously, tamper-resistant receptacles were required in dwelling units, guest rooms and guest suites of hotels and motels, and in child care facilities. The expanded code brings these safety devices to preschools and elementary education facilities; business offices, corridors, waiting rooms and the like in clinics, medical and dental offices and outpatient facilities; to assembly occupancies such as places of awaiting transportation, gymnasiums, skating rinks, auditoriums; and to dormitories. These expanded locations are areas that small children frequently occupy.
Tamper resistant receptacles feature a UL recognized safety shutter system that prevents the insertion of foreign objects into a receptacle. The safety shutters will only open upon simultaneous insertion of two plug blades. Additional tests including Probe Test, Impact Test, Mechanical Endurance Test and Dielectric Voltage Withstand Test for Tamper Resistant Receptacles TRR are included in UL 498. After passing all the above performance tests, tamper-resistant receptacles must have either the words “Tamper Resistant" or the letters "TR" (minimum 3/16 inches high) on the device as a clear indication that this is a tamper-resistant receptacle.
Schurter's NR021 NEMA 5-15R Tamper Resistant series meets the expanded code requirements according to UL 498. Additionally, with the option of an added insulated wall between the L, N terminals, compliance with the Spill Test, outlined in UL 962 Sec. 62, is more cost effective and efficient for manufacturers of Household and Commercial Furniture and Furniture Power Distribution Units (FPDUs).
Higher Temperature Rated Receptacles Packing density of equipment for data communication and storage continues to be regularly revolutionized with the surge of usage and functionality. Increasing ambient temperatures go hand in hand with these advancements, as demand trickles down to the smallest components to keep pace with emerging needs of the appliance manufacturers. The NR010 and NR020 series have an operating temperature range of -25 ˚C to 150 ˚C in response to the power needs of the Datacom industry. In addition, the NR010 with IDC terminals provides a version with an independent L terminal. The neutral and ground terminals can still be bussed, while the line terminal can be used for maximum load according to UL rating 15 A, 125 V. It also extends the capability of adding functionality to each outlet individually.
