Schurter announces the release of the first 1206 chip fuse series UST 1206 with rated current values up to 25 A and slow-blow characteristic. It boasts high melting I2t values, which provides good inrush withstand performance. It’s a cost-effective solution for applications in which high inrush current and on-off cycling are present.
The UST 1206 with characteristics according to UL 248-14 complements the USI 1206 with characteristics according to IEC 60127-4 . The current ratings of the UST 1206 range from 7 to 25 A with voltage ratings up to 63 VDC and 32 VAC. The device provides a breaking capacity of up to 400 A, and an operating temperature range of - 55°C to +90°C.
The fuse is designed to provide secondary over current protection in applications such as power inverters and back lit DC-AC inverters for monitors, where power consumption is high at a low voltage level, e.g. 5 or 12 VDC. The legend marking on each fuse allows a clear visual identification.
The fuse is approved according to UL 248-14 and holds a cURus approval. The device is RoHS compliant and is supplied on tape and reel either with 1k or 5k or 15k pieces.

Schurters FUA vertical PCB mount shock-safe fuseholder, offers an enhanced rated power acceptance and rated current. The FUA offers the same specification and drilling diagram as the successful horizontal mounting FUP range, having has a rated power acceptance of 4 W @ 16 A @ 23C which is unique in the market for PCB shock-safe fuseholders.
The new fuseholder is RoHS compliant and is approved by VDE for 500 VAC, 16 A and by UL/CSA for 250 VAC, 30 A. Fuse carriers are available for either 5x20 mm or 6.3x32 mm cartridge fuses, and it is delivered in a cardboard box of 25 pieces.
Via it’s 500 VAC approval at VDE, the fuseholder is suitable for three-phase systems applications utilising 6.3x32 mm fuses. It also suits the market for high current single-phase protection up to 16 A. potential applications in this field include HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems, power supplies, frequency converter and medical appliances.

Schurter’s new TF600 non-resettable fuse assists manufacturers of telecommunications equipment in meeting power cross and lightning surge requirements outlined in North American standards Telcordia GR-1089, TIA-968-A (formerly FCC Part 68), and UL 60950, as well as the international standards ITU-T K.20 and IEC 60950. The fuse has a rated breaking capacity of 60A at 600 Volt AC, over a current range of 0.5 - 2 Amps.
The TF 600 is RoHS compliant according to Directive 2002/95/EC. Its low profile and small footprint conform to industry norms for size, placement and process compatibility. Its time-lag tripping characteristic provides reliable secondary protection of secondary circuits in a variety of telecom systems and networking equipment designated for use around the world. Typical applications are customer premises equipment (CPE) like telephones and modems, high-speed transmission equipment like ADSL modems and splitters and analog line cards (SLIC’s).
The TF 600 is built to UL 248-14 and carries UL/CSA recognition. It also holds a “Free of CCC” confirmation for China. It is supplied either on tape (2000 pieces) or loose in a bag (100 pieces).
