The new and first of its kind power entry module, Schurter series 5707, advances the range of applications in the area of detachable power. It offers an alternative to makeshift accessories often used to prevent particles or liquids from entering into the appliance. The new power entry module is resistant to dirt, dust and other fine particles, as well as sprays, splashes and jets of non-aggressive liquids. It is ideal for use in electronic equipment exposed to leaks, drips and spills, as well as equipment subject to routine washing or disinfecting.
The inlet portion of the 5707 is according to IEC 60320-1, style C14 or C18. It is combined with a 1-or 2-pole fuse holder and a standard or medical EMC filter rated up to 8 Amps at 250 VAC. The complete unit is rated IP65 with seal protection at the panel opening, around the fuse holders and between the inlet and connector pins. The seal at the panel opening is achieved with a rubber lining, which is fixed into a groove around the metal flange. Front or rear mount versions are available. Special screws guarantee the sealing at the mounting holes. The fuse holders are independent of each other and accept 5x20 mm fuses. Screw caps with o-rings are used to provide a seal between the cap and holder. A tool is required to remove the cap from the holder to replace the fuse, which is required for medical equipment.
The 5707 offers pre-wired electrical connections, using 6.3x0.8 quick connect terminals. The series is approved according to ENEC, UL & CSA. Versions for protection class I or II are available, as well as a version with special class I capacitors for increased voltage withstand. The module is according to medical standards IEC/UL 60601-1 and is ideally suited for use in medical applications such as diagnostic, dialysis and infusion devices, as well as commercial appliances such as drink dispensing equipment.

This latest addition to Bulgin's Data Buccaneer range of dust and waterproof connectors is a new Mini USB 'AB' style interface in three panel mounted configurations.
These three new 'AB' versions offer a choice of panel mounting. The first, PX0456, is front of panel mounting with a flying lead to the rear, terminated with a 6 way 0.1” crimp connector.
The other two are rear of panel mounted; the PX0457 has a flying lead terminated with 6 way PCB header and the PX0458 has straight PC pins for direct soldering to a PCB. Both of these allow the connector to be soldered to a PCB sub-assembly and tested as part of the assembly before final build.
Being compatible with both mini 'A' and mini 'B' style interfaces this new 5 pole product allows the true functionality of this 'plug and play' interface.
As with others in the Buccaneer range, the mini USB connector is dust and waterproof to IP68, when mated, and provides USB V2.0 performance up to 480Mbs.
The matching pre-wired cable connectors, PX0441 and PX0442, are available in 2, 3 and 4.5m lengths with a sealed Mini 'B' type USB connector paired with either standard or miniature 'A' type USB connector. The diameter over the coupling ring is just 19mm and the screw coupling provides a secure, proven locking system.
Mini USB Buccaneer finds many applications within smaller peripherals or where panel space is at a premium and, as with all Bulgin products, is fully RoHS compliant.

New to Arcolectric’s range of Push Button switches is the 4100 Series Key Operated Push Button switch. With up to 100,000 mechanical operations this switch is suitable for frequent functional use.
These switches are ideal for use in applications such as vending machines. Where the maintenance locking key can be used to retain the switch connnection by depressing the plunger enabling the power to be maintained whilst the door is in the open position.
The 4100 series is available with single or double pole switching with momentary action plunger operation and either 4.8 or 6.3mm faston connections.
The large over-travel feature built into the 4100 Series Switches allows it to accommodate substantial production tolerances.
This switch is rated up to 16.5A 400Vac T85 and has ENEC approval to 50,000 electrical operations. The panel cut out size is 37 x 13.5mm, however this switch can also be screwed to the panel on 22mm fixing centres.
Also available for use with the 4100 Series is a separate connector block. This reduces assembly time by allowing the wiring to become an integral part of the wiring harness.

Patent-Pending Design Allows for True Plug-and-Play Installation
Honeywell introduced an adapter for limit switches with 20mm thread conduit openings. When purchased as a pre-installed accessory on a Honeywell MICRO SWITCH limit switch, this patent-pending adapter is ready to mount and plug into a Deutsch DT4 mating connector.
Typical installation time for limit switches includes as much as three minutes to wire a standard-type switch. The plug-and-play adapter may realize cost savings in reducing installation time, minimizing down time for switch replacement, or by eliminating additional parts normally associated with the assembly of a pigtail connector.
The accessory also is available as an adapter kit containing individual parts ready for assembly or as an adapter assembly pre-wired with four lead wires. Both options may provide cost savings over standard installation. Potential applications include aerial/scissor lifts and cable-to-cable applications in off-road, agricultural and construction equipment.

Bulgin’s waterproof USB Buccaneer connectors are being employed in many different areas and applications, with one of the most prominent as a data ‘downloading’ port.
In this application the panel connector is not always used with a mating connector, instead a USB Flash drive is connected to input or extract data from the equipment.
Some applications warrant the Flash drive being left in-situ, but this can compromise the integrity of the equipment’s environmental sealing characteristics. To overcome this Bulgin have a developed an extended cover that will maintain the IP68 sealing of this interface whilst the Flash drive remains connected. The cover is suitable for use on all Buccaneer USB ‘A’ type connectors: PX0842/A, PX0843/A, PX0845/A and PX0849/A.
Designed to accommodate a wide variety of USB Flash drives this simple accessory will find many uses where transportation of data and sealing integrity of the equipment are important considerations.

ECO – The smart choice for your demanding power entry requirements
Schurter’s new 20A IEC inlet with EMI filter, series 5130 ECO design, meets the increasing demands of IT, medical and industrial appliances. The new ECO design provides cost savings and maximum performance in a lightweight and environmentally friendly compact package.
The 5130 combines an IEC C20 inlet with line filter in various mounting styles. The positive electrical contact of the broad metal flange to the chassis ensures optimal filtering and shielding. The units are available with current ratings 20A or 16A, depending on attenuation requirements. In addition to the standard version, medical filters with low leakage currents of
Mounting options include a front or rear version for traditional screw and nut mounting or rivet mounting. A version specifically for rear mounting features pre-formed threaded holes for M3 screws, which eliminates the handling of nuts and reduces labor costs. These benefits can also be achieved with the snap-in mounting style. Terminals accept 6.3x0.8 mm quick-connect tabs.
The increasing function and power density of todays IT, medical and industial applications leads to higher energy consumption. The 5130 ECO is the optimal solution, combining uncompromised features and performance with compactness of design to meet this growing demand.
The series is ENEC and cURus approved and complies with IEC/EN standards for office and medical equipment, 60950 and 60601-1 respectively.

Crydom Solid State Relays (SSRs) are widely used in applications where controlling different types of motors is necessary. They are used for AC motor speed control, motor reversing, starting motors, soft starting and soft stopping of motors, motor starting switches of both single phase and three phase motors.
Crydom SSRs are also used to control DC motors. DC relays can be used as a switch, for reversing DC motors, or using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for DC motor speed controls.
