New to Arcolectric’s extensive range of rocker switches is the 6100 IP67 panel sealed version. This neat, compact, sealed rocker switch will maintain sealing characteristics of the equipment without the use of external covers. Ingenious internal sealing provides the necessary seal while still maintaining a strong tactile feel.
Although external switch covers can be used to provide environmental sealing, they can often obscure the switch status and give an indistinct switching action, Arcolectric’s new switch solves these problems.
Rated at 16(6)A, 250Vac T125, this single pole switch is available in non-illuminated or LED illuminated versions, both types carry ENEC approval.
The compact ‘L’ body profile has a 30 x 11mm panel cut-out with snap-to panel fixing, accommodating 1.0 to 3.0mm panels and is supplied complete with panel gasket; no extra sealing accessories are required. Terminals are 6.3mm faston tabs.
The switches are ideal for use in equipment that will be used in environments where ingress into equipment’s could affect its operation.

Arcolectric’s latest design is a new toggle switch with integral IP67 sealing.
The new 3900 switch, with body designation ‘E’ for single pole and ‘F’ for double pole, incorporates internal and external seals to provide panel sealing to IP67. This eliminates the need to fit additional clumsy toggle covers, therefore making the switch straightforward to use and quicker to assemble.
Rated at 20A, 277Vac, it is available with ON-OFF, ON-ON and three position ON-OFF-ON switching. The panel mounting hole is the industry standard 12.7mm diameter, terminals are 6.3mm tabs or solder tags and the levers manufactured from nickel plated brass.
This new version of Arcolectric’s popular 3900 series is ideal for both internal and external applications where the environmental integrity of the equipment must be maintained against the ingress of dust or water.

Schurter’s TA35 series introduces a new generation of Circuit Breakers for Equipment. The breakers are available in 1-, 2- or 3-pole arrangements and stand out through their compact form and attractive design. The rocker-actuating switch can be supplied either with or without illumination in six different colours with various legends or customer specific symbols. The breakers have been designed for efficient snap-in mounting, fitting panel thicknesses ranging from 1 to 4 mm. Connections are made with 6.3 x 0.8 mm quick connect terminals.
The TA35 provides both the function of a switch as well as thermal overload protection. It has finely graduated rated currents of 0.05 A to 20 A for the 1- and 2-pole types, or 0.05 A to 12 A for 3-pole versions. An optional protective cover gives a protection class of IP 65, making the unit suitable for applications exposed to dust or splashing water; typical applications are laboratory equipment for chemical and medical applications, wood and masonry processing machines, construction site equipment, power generators, cleaning equipment, food-processing equipment and appliances.
The new circuit breaker series is approved according to IEC 60934, UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 235 and has received or is pending VDE, cURus and CCC approvals.

Lorlin Electronics, the UK’s longest established switch manufacturer, announces the introduction of the WRL series of waterproof miniature key operated lock switches. Sealed to IP66 and IP67 these single or double pole snap-fit switches may be operated by a single common key or one of up to 200 different combinations.
Manufactured at Lorlin’s own factory in the UK the WRL waterproof lock switch is a compact, rugged design, simple to mount, occupies a small panel area and projects less than 30mm from the rear of the mounting panel. All WRL switches are RoHS compliant and an optional M16 earthing tag may be specified where panels might be insulated. The lock is mounted to the panel from the front and the electrical switch snaps on to the back of the mechanism. 60˚ and 90˚ key indexing versions are available and the key may be inserted into the lock either way up and withdrawn in both the locked and unlocked switch positions.
The WRL miniature lock switch is rated for currents up to 5A at 115VAC over an operating life of >10,000 cycles and has an operating temperature range of –20 to +65°C. The new WRL switch family meets a growing need for secure switching in security, alarm, vehicle, marine and industrial applications which may be outdoor or where washing or cleaning is required. We ship high volumes of standard key switches each year and we can now meet the many requests we receive for a waterproof version.”
Typical applications for the Lorlin WRL miniature lock switch include, security shutters, alarm and security control panels in airports, prisons, police stations etc, factory equipment, instrumentation and electrical control panels.

"Matching 3-position switch version available for 2-speed fans, wipers, etc."
E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced a new combined switch and circuit breaker for push-fit mounting in switch panels. Its attractive, contoured, ‘soft’ feel rocker actuator with dual illumination and choice of both colour and ‘marine’ legends make it a first-line choice for builders of power-boats and yachts. A 3-position switch version of matching design enables all combinations of switching and circuit protection to be provided in one stylish control panel grouping.
The new E-T-A 3131 combined switch and thermal overcurrent circuit breaker provides snap-in, panel-mounted, single pole protection against both limited short circuits and low level, but potentially very harmful, overload currents. The integral overload protection negates the need for fuse holders or additional circuit breakers, thus offering great advantages for boat users and simplifying the wiring circuits. Models are offered in current ratings from 0.1A to 20A at up to 50V DC/240V AC for single pole applications. The complementary E-T-A 3131 three-position switch with matching actuator design offers the additional switching required for units such as 2-speed fans and wipers.
The ergonomically styled rocker actuator on both versions of the E-T-A 3131 is soft to the touch and offers two illumination options with a number of different permutations possible. Splash water protection is assured even in the toughest nautical conditions with its IP66 rating. The 3131 CBE is one of the smallest and lightest products of this type on the market, making it ideal for the protection of circuits and equipment including vital navigation and communication equipment.
