With the Design Line MSM RD, Schurter extends the MSM product family of mechanical switches and breathes new life into conventional pushbuttons. The progressive modern look of dead-front displays provides expanded design options with the known intuitive features of tactile feel and optical feedback.
The new MSM RD variants are distinguished by its high-quality choice of materials. The switch housing is made of black anodized aluminum. With the combination of the special black translucent plastic for its ring lighting, the switch gives a very elegant, modern appearance.

Ring Illumination
While the DF black Light Guide material is translucent, it is very robust. The switch appears inconspicuously black when the lighting is inactive. It thus fits unobtrusively and discreetly into dark operating surfaces. If the illumination is active, the ring shines in the set color without any color shift despite the dark Light Guide material. Thus, special design effects or specific attention to detail can be created.

Variants
Like all our products, the MSM RD variants are characterized by the highest quality. As standard, the ring illuminated switches are available in different sizes as well as in different illumination colors. Depending on the variant, the switch can operate up to 10A.

Application areas - Intuitive Operation and Design

What was once acceptable as a simple switch has become outdated due to higher demands being placed on the design and operation of a device.

The Schurter MSM RD switch variants support the design of modern operator interfaces, which are more often made of dark plastic or glass surfaces. The Evolution Dual family of Panel Mount dual channel AC Solid State Relays is an innovative line which expands upon the classic family of Crydom Dual SSRs, offering an improved mechanical and thermal design along with higher power density. Wireless 4-20 mA Transmitter with Tx Supply

The IWTxT is designed to convert any standard 4-20 mA transmitter into a wireless unit.

It works by switching on a supply to the 4-20 mA transmitter, waiting for a suitable settling time and then sending the data to one of Sensata’s standard wireless receiver units.

The IWTxT is specially designed to maximise battery life and in a typical application the battery life will exceed 12 months. The data update rate is user selectable to suit the requirement of each measured variable and so maximize battery life.

Typical update rates include 1 second, 10 seconds, 60 seconds or 1 hour. The system also features a signal strength reading and time since last transmission which can be remotely monitored.

The IWTxT is designed to operate with the IWR range of receivers. The IWR-1 can output a 4-20 mA or 1-5V signal whilst the IWR-PORT can store up to 128 variables for transmission to an industrial Ethernet connection or an RS-232/485 communications link.

The EMS2 electronic motor starter from Eaton's Moeller series combines all the functions of a conventional motor starter in a single, highly compact device. Unrivalled Uptime in Machine Construction and Process Control

Requirements regarding product quality and stability of the production process are constantly rising in machine construction and process control.  The CPC12 ControlPlex System offers permanent data logging, analysis and processing.  This provides the required transparency to detect any changes in the production process at an early stage and to take countermeasures in time.

Consistency of the systems is particularly important.  Besides the field bus interfaces PROFINET and EtherCAT, the CPC12 bus controller also has another Ethernet interface. It allows access to the system even without fieldbus.  Direct access to the integral web server of the device is made possible.

All data and information are available on the device on site, but also in the office.  If the circuit protector has tripped, it can quickly be reset to operation.  Downtimes are reduced and machine uptime is increased.  Data can easily be analysed and evaluated later by means of remote access.

The modular REX system is especially adapted to the special requirements of machine construction and process control. The CPC12 bus controller extends the REX system by the connection to different fieldbus connections.  This makes your DC 24 V power distribution and protection more transparent than ever.

The REX12D electronic circuit protector records status and measuring values of each load circuit and transmits them to the bus controller.  System operators and maintenance staff thus receive all information they need to detect changes and possible undesirable developments at an early stage.
